Our mission at IVL, the cutting-edge unit within UMK's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, is to drive the university's pursuit of innovation-centered entrepreneurship. Leveraging the MySTIE 10-10 Framework, our lab focuses on industries with the potential to optimize local resources and contents, such as energy, construction, biotechnology (including agriculture and health), indigenous industries, e-commerce, and social innovation. With state-of-the-art co-working facilities catering to student founders and businesspeople, IVL incubates and accelerates high-growth startups. Looking ahead, IVL aspires to become a top-tier Research and Development (R&D) lab for leading companies in Malaysia.

About IVL
The Ignite Venture Lab (IVL) was established by UMK to cultivate innovation-driven entrepreneurs, offering space, facilities, and training for startups across industries like social entrepreneurship, agriculture, and consumer technology. Aligned with Malaysia's National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030, IVL focuses on digitally driven businesses, aligning with NEP's Strategic Core 4 to accelerate economic growth through innovation and technology. IVL's primary role is to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in future innovative companies at UMK.
