OUR BACKGROUND

About Us

Universiti Malaysia Kelantan Entrepreneurship Institute (UMKEI) as an entrepreneurship center aimed at realizing UMK as a respected and referring university in the region. It was established on 27 May 2013 and is fully responsible for the four main entities of the entrepreneurial ecosystem at UMK, namely the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises (ISME) which acts as a training center for the community and graduate entrepreneurs. Next, the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) aims to provide an ongoing entrepreneurship curriculum at UMK as well as develop student entrepreneurship as a whole and the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Center (GERIC) is responsible for leading research and innovation activities in the field of entrepreneurship. While the latest is Ignite Venture Lab (IVL), it was established to nurture innovation-driven entrepreneurs by offering space, facilities and training for start-ups across various industries such as social entrepreneurship, agropreneurs and technology.
